On May 8, information from Nghe An Provincial Police said that Chau Binh Commune Police presided over and coordinated with Area Team No. 2 of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department to arrest suspect Ha Manh Tuan (born 1978, residing in Dong Cong village, Chau Binh commune) for the act of illegally trading drugs.
Previously, through grasping the situation, functional forces discovered that Ha Manh Tuan frequently crossed the border area, showing suspicious signs related to drug trafficking activities, so they deployed verification and monitoring.
After a period of struggle, on May 2, Chau Binh Commune Police coordinated with Area Team No. 2 of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department to catch Ha Manh Tuan red-handed in the act of illegally trading drugs.
Exhibits seized included 600 pink pills suspected to be pink pills, 20.6 grams of white powder suspected to be heroin and 1 motorbike.
Currently, the case is being further investigated and clarified by the police agency.
Chau Binh commune is a mountainous commune in Nghe An province, with a natural area of 130.91 km2 and a population of about 11,038 people. The commune borders Thanh Hoa province in the East; Tam Hop commune in the South; Quy Chau commune in the West and North.
