Implementing Project 06 of the Government and the "Digital Summer with VNeID" campaign, Lieu Tu Commune Police (Can Tho City) has coordinated with sectors and organizations to bring digital technology closer to people, contributing to improving the efficiency of digital transformation in the locality, according to the e-Portal of Can Tho City Police.
Responding to the plan of Can Tho City People's Committee and City Police on the campaign "60 days and nights guiding people to activate and integrate information and data on level 2 VNeID application", Lieu Tu Commune Police identified this as a key task.
The advisory unit of Lieu Tu Commune People's Committee established 8 working groups in 8 hamlets, coordinating with the Fatherland Front, Youth Union, Women's Union, Health Station, schools, Community Digital Technology Team and People's Committees of hamlets to synchronously implement tasks.
With the motto "Going through each alley, tapping each house, checking each person", the working groups guide people to activate level 2 electronic identification accounts, integrate documents and use utilities on VNeID such as electronic health certificates, health insurance, driver's licenses, vehicle registration and online public services.

The campaign focuses on supporting groups with limited access to technology such as the elderly, people with disabilities, students, poor households, near-poor households and people who regularly work far away.
Many officers and soldiers working overtime, including on weekends, come to people's homes to support them in creating accounts, verifying faces, integrating documents and guiding the use of applications.
The commune police also coordinate with schools to propagate and guide parents and students aged 6 to under 14 to implement electronic identification; and at the same time go to religious establishments to guide monks and Buddhist compatriots to use VNeID, contributing to spreading digital transformation in the community.
After a period of implementation, the whole commune has issued citizen identification cards to over 93% of eligible citizens; issued over 22,000 level 2 electronic identification accounts, of which over 90% have been activated.
Thousands of cases were integrated with health insurance, electronic health records, driver's licenses, vehicle registration and many other documents on VNeID; more than 2,700 people were guided to use online public services.
According to Lieu Tu Commune Police, the results achieved are not only reflected in the numbers but also in the change in people's awareness in using VNeID to carry out administrative procedures, medical examination and treatment, and exploit digital utilities, contributing to building digital government, digital citizens, and digital society.
