On June 16, Lao Cai Provincial Police said that Muong Bo Commune Police have proactively implemented measures to warn and prevent the risk of landslides on provincial road 152B, contributing to ensuring safety for people and vehicles.

After many days of heavy rain, the Km11+300 area on provincial road 152B, passing through Nam Cang village, Muong Bo commune, was identified as having a high risk of positive taluy landslides. Muong Bo commune police have coordinated with the Military Command of the commune to inspect the site, stretch warning ropes, set up checkpoints at both ends of the route and guide people to move according to the alternative route.

At about 10 am on June 16, at this location, a positive taluy landslide occurred with about 6,000m3 of soil and rocks falling onto the road surface, causing traffic disruption. However, thanks to early warnings and checkpoints, the incident did not cause any casualties.
After the incident, functional forces continued to divert traffic, ensure security and order at the scene, and at the same time mobilized manpower and vehicles to urgently overcome the consequences and quickly clear the route.
According to Lao Cai Provincial Police, proactively grasping the situation, warning of risks and implementing preventive measures early has contributed to minimizing damage caused by natural disasters.
