On June 11, Lao Cai Provincial Police said that Au Lau Ward Police had just successfully mobilized a citizen in the area to voluntarily participate in drug detoxification.

Accordingly, on June 8, Au Lau Ward Police coordinated with the Task Force to strengthen building a drug-free area of the Provincial Police to organize propaganda and mobilize the family and citizen L.T.L (born in 2000, residing in Au Lau Ward) to register to determine drug addiction status according to regulations.
After a process of propaganda and mobilization, citizen L.T.L and her family clearly recognized the harmful effects of drugs and voluntarily registered to participate in drug rehabilitation.
On the same day, Au Lau Ward Police coordinated with Task Force 373 of the Provincial Police and the family to complete the necessary procedures, bringing citizen L.T.L to Drug Rehabilitation Center No. 1 of Lao Cai province to perform voluntary detoxification.

Over the past time, Au Lau Ward Police have implemented many measures to manage and review suspected illegal drug users, illegal drug users and drug addicts in the area.
The unit also promotes legal propaganda on drug prevention and control; coordinates with mass organizations, families and people in managing, educating, and helping addicts detoxify and reintegrate into the community.
According to Lao Cai Provincial Police, the successful mobilization of addicts to voluntarily quit drugs shows the persistence and responsibility of the grassroots police force, and also shows the important role of families in encouraging relatives to give up drugs.
This is one of the solutions contributing to building a drug-free area, maintaining security and order and ensuring a peaceful life for the people.
