On June 6, Mr. Pham Giang Nam - Director of Dien Bien Department of Health - said that to accelerate the organization of free health check-ups and consultations for people, the Department has issued a document requesting the Provincial Police, Provincial Military Command, Provincial Border Guard Command, and People's Committees of communes and wards to pay attention to coordinating implementation.
The Department of Health requests the Provincial Police to direct Hospital 7/5 to increase doctors, nurses, technicians, along with medical equipment to closely coordinate with Health Centers to organize mobile health check-ups and consultations (at Health Stations, Health Station Points, villages/hamlets, residential groups) free of charge for people in the province on Saturdays and Sundays every week, starting from June 6.
For the Military Command and the Provincial Border Guard Command, the Department of Health also proposed to direct the military medical force to increase doctors, nurses, technicians and similar medical equipment to coordinate the organization of mobile examinations.
Mr. Pham Giang Nam added that in the afternoon of June 6, 36 doctors, nurses, and technicians of Hospital 7/5 participated in health check-ups and consultations at Thanh Nua Commune Health Station.
The Department of Health also requests the People's Committees of communes and wards to review, statistics, make lists and classify subjects in need of examination who are residing in the area.
In necessary cases, localities must coordinate to organize home examinations or mobile examinations in accordance with regulations. Dien Bien Health sector strives for the goal of each citizen having free health check-ups at least once a year.
