Over the past time, Tra Doc Commune Police, Da Nang City have proactively met with owners of inland waterway vehicles operating on Song Tranh II hydropower reservoir to propagate and guide compliance with legal regulations on waterway traffic.
The content of propaganda focuses on essential regulations such as conditions for vehicle operators; equipping life jackets, life-saving tools, and safety equipment when traveling, exploiting, and transporting on rivers and waters.

Especially, in the context of mountainous areas, large lakes, and many areas far from residential areas, ensuring vehicle safety and awareness of risk prevention is considered a key factor to protect people's lives and property.
Tra Doc Commune Police also organized for vehicle owners to sign commitments to strictly comply with legal regulations when operating on the lake. At the same time, functional forces propagate and mobilize people not to use electric shocks, explosives, toxic substances and prohibited fishing gear to exploit aquatic products.

According to Tra Doc Commune Police, the act of using electric shock to catch aquatic products not only violates the law but also poses a risk of unsafety, destroying aquatic resources and seriously affecting the lake's ecological environment.
In parallel with propaganda, the commune police proactively review and grasp the operating situation of inland waterway vehicles, promptly remind and rectify cases that do not ensure safety conditions or show signs of violation.
The strengthening of sticking to the area and sticking to the lake by the grassroots police force contributes to preventing accidents, maintaining waterway traffic order and safety, and protecting sustainable livelihoods for people in the Tra Doc mountainous region.
