On April 13, information from Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that to maintain security and order, safety of the sea route, on March 30, the Provincial Police issued Official Dispatch No. 1124 on launching a peak campaign to mobilize and recover weapons, explosives, supporting tools and firecrackers in coastal communes and wards.

Accordingly, the police force in 16 coastal communes is identified as the core, proactively advising the Party committees and local authorities; and at the same time closely coordinating with departments, branches, unions and village Fatherland Front committees to synchronously implement solutions. The focus is on promoting propaganda, raising awareness, and mobilizing people to voluntarily hand over weapons, explosives, support tools and firecrackers.
Currently, in coastal communes and wards of Thanh Hoa province, the work of recovering weapons and explosives is being strongly implemented. From July 1, 2025 to now, in 16 coastal communes and wards, 122 guns, 30 kg of explosives, 10 detonators, 244 rudimentary weapons and more than 201 kg of firecrackers have been mobilized to be recovered.
From March 20 to now, functional forces have continued to recover 24 more guns, 2.4 kg of explosives, 15 detonators, 32 rudimentary weapons and 8.3 kg of firecrackers.

Lieutenant Colonel Ha Van Hung - Deputy Head of the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that the results achieved show the clear effectiveness of the implemented solutions. However, this is a long-term task, requiring the regular and continuous involvement of the entire political system and the whole society.
When each citizen raises awareness, voluntarily surrenders and says no to illegal weapons, security and order will be ensured early and from afar" - Lieutenant Colonel Ha Van Hung emphasized.
Also according to Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, the peak period of recovering weapons and explosives on the sea route not only brings specific results but more importantly creates a change in awareness in the community, contributing to maintaining security and order right from the grassroots level.
