The concretization of the emulation movement "Three Firsts: Most Disciplined - Most Loyal - Closest to the People" with practical solutions has helped Viet Lam commune police (Tuyen Quang) transform the area, reduce crime and consolidate the people's security posture.
Faced with new requirements for ensuring security and order (ANTT), Viet Lam commune police have innovated their operating methods, strengthened grassroots presence, and promoted the role of regular police forces in serving the people.
Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Chi Luu, Head of Viet Lam Commune Police (Tuyen Quang), said that the unit focuses on implementing many key solutions such as strengthening night patrols, sticking to the area, and enhancing the responsibility of each officer and soldier.
Every night, patrol teams coordinate with local security forces to regularly control roads and border areas, contributing to limiting theft, causing disorder and law violations.
Each officer and soldier is assigned to be in charge of each village and hamlet, proactively grasping the situation, building an information network from the people to promptly detect and handle cases right from the grassroots level.
In parallel with that, the commune police tightened discipline and regulations, maintained strict duty and combat duty regimes, and regularly reviewed and evaluated work results to improve the quality of task performance.
The "closest to the people" criterion is concretized by many practical actions such as supporting people to get citizen identification cards, activating electronic identification accounts, and mediating conflicts at the grassroots level.
Captain Nguyen Trung Nam - an officer of Viet Lam commune police - said that during the implementation of Project 06 of the Government, officers and soldiers repeatedly brought equipment to the homes of the elderly and the disabled to collect dossiers. When natural disasters occur, the police force is also always present to support the evacuation of people, rescue and ensure traffic.
Thanks to the synchronous implementation of solutions, the security and social order situation in the area has changed positively; the number of criminal offenses, property theft and intentional injury has decreased over the years, and many complex social evils hotspots have been eliminated.
The commune police also advised on building "Security Cameras", "FIRE Prevention and Fighting Safe Family Groups" models, contributing to improving the effectiveness of crime prevention and combat and promoting the movement "All people protect national security", maintaining peace in the area.
