On July 29, the Ministry of Public Security opened the 1st Excellent Forces participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level in the Southern region, taking place at Ba Ria - Vung Tau Conference Center (Ba Ria ward, Ho Chi Minh City).
The contest is a forum for 17 teams from localities to exchange and exchange experiences, improve legal knowledge and practical situation handling skills. Thereby contributing to promoting the role of forces participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level in ensuring political security, social order and safety; spreading the image of dedicated, close to the people and for the people serving.
According to Major General Nguyen Viet Giang - Director of the Department of Building the Movement to Protect National Security (Ministry of Public Security), Head of the Steering Committee of the Contest - with the advantage of understanding the area, grassroots forces have effectively coordinated with commune-level police in grasping the situation, propagating laws, preventing and combating crime, mediating internal conflicts, supporting fire prevention and fighting, rescue and salvage, and maintaining traffic order and safety. The activities of the force have consolidated the people's security posture, serving local socio-economic development.
For the contest to achieve the best results, Major General Nguyen Viet Giang requested the participating teams to strictly comply with the regulations, promote bravery and practical experience; The Judging Panel should work objectively to select excellent teams to participate in the national final round.
After the opening ceremony, the teams entered the competitions with high confidence and determination. The performances and situations on stage not only vividly recreated and reflected the reality of maintaining security and order at the grassroots level, but also conveyed messages about the responsibility, dedication and spirit of being close to the people of the forces participating in protecting security and order.
According to the plan, the contest will take place on July 29-30, with the following contents: talent competition; knowledge competition; situation handling competition. The contest in the Southern region is expected to create a positive impression, improving the quality of activities of forces participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level in the new period.
