Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Phan Thai Binh has just approved the investment policy for the project "Eliminating power shortages in villages and hamlets in Da Nang city".
The project has a total investment of more than 317 billion VND from the city budget, aiming to supply electricity to 2,867 households in 13 mountainous communes, including: Tra Lien, Tra Tan, Tra Doc, Tra Giap, Nam Tra My, Tra Tap, Tra Leng, Tra Van, Tra Linh, Hung Son, Song Kon, A Vuong and Dac Pring.
In areas with connection to the national power grid, the city will build more than 158km of medium-voltage power lines, 76 transformer stations with a total capacity of more than 4,436kVA and nearly 83km of low-voltage power lines. All households in the project will be installed with electronic meters, complete wiring systems and indoor power grids.
For isolated areas where it is difficult to draw power from the grid, the project uses on-site power supply solutions. In which, Petapac village, Dak Pring commune will be installed with a solar power system with a storage capacity of 20kW, serving 10 households.
Households currently using solar power in Aur village, A Vuong commune and Petapooc village, Dak Pring commune are also equipped with backup generators, limiting the risk of power interruption during the rainy and storm season.
The project is implemented from 2026 to 2028.
When completed, the project will not only solve the electricity demand for thousands of households but also create conditions for production development, improve education, health care and access to information in mountainous areas that are still facing many difficulties.
