On November 28, the Da Nang City Veterans Association celebrated the 35th anniversary of the Vietnam Veterans Association's traditional day (December 6, 1989 - December 6, 2024), the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and honored the exemplary Veterans Association President in 2024.
At the ceremony, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh acknowledged and highly appreciated the outstanding achievements that the City Veterans Association has achieved in recent times.
In particular, the City Veterans Association organized well the emulation movement "Exemplary Veterans"; actively encouraged cadres and members to promote the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" to carry out political tasks, actively participate in building and protecting the Party, government and people; contributed many responsible and dedicated opinions to Party committees and governments at all levels.

The Association and the Youth Union have done a good job of educating the young generation about patriotic traditions; promoting the movement "Veterans help each other reduce poverty and do good business", contributing to creating jobs for many workers... The activities and movements of the Association take place continuously, in many diverse forms, spreading strongly, contributing to the cause of building and developing the economy, culture, society, national defense and security of the city.
Currently, the city has 20,768 veteran members, including 35 general officers in the Army, participating in activities at 1,173 branches, 112 grassroots veteran associations, with 11,017 party members. Implementing the movement "Exemplary veterans" and the movement "Veterans help each other reduce poverty and do good business", the associations at all levels mobilized many resources to build and repair 1,320 houses for veterans in difficult circumstances, worth more than 39 billion VND...
On this occasion, the City Veterans Association presented Commemorative Medals to 14 individuals; commended 120 outstanding Veterans Association Chairmen in 2024; and presented 35 gifts to veterans in difficult circumstances.
