Ninh Binh Provincial Vietnam Buddhist Congress spreads solidarity

Ninh Binh - The Vietnam Buddhist Congress of Ninh Binh province affirmed the role of linking the Dharma with the nation, spreading the spirit of solidarity in the community.

In two days (April 9 and 10), at Truc Lam Thien Truong Zen Monastery, Nam Dinh ward, the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Ninh Binh province successfully organized the 1st Delegate Congress, term 2026 - 2031.

The Congress was attended by more than 600 delegates, including 450 official delegates who are typical monks and nuns representing monks, nuns, and Buddhists throughout the province. This is a political event of great significance for monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers in the province, marking a new step in development on the path of "Promoting the Dharma, benefiting the masses, serving the Dharma and the nation".

With the theme "Discipline - Innovation - Effectiveness - Efficiency", the Congress reviewed and evaluated the results of Buddhist affairs work in the 2022-2027 term, especially since the implementation of the Party and State's policy on arranging and streamlining the organizational structure, merging administrative units (Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh into Ninh Binh province) according to the 2-level local government model.

Through this, finding the causes of limitations, existing problems and drawing lessons learned, and at the same time proposing directions for Buddhist affairs and patriotic service activities in the coming term.

Accordingly, in the 2026 - 2031 term, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Ninh Binh province directs and develops a plan to effectively implement the annual program of the Central Government and the province. Strive for 70% of pagodas in the province to achieve the title: advanced pagoda, of which 15% of pagodas achieve the title of excellent advanced pagoda; 100% of pagodas well implement patriotic emulation movements, social charity work...

The Congress unified the personnel of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Ninh Binh province for the first term, 2026 - 2031, including 79 members. Venerable Thich Quang Ha was re-elected as Head of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Ninh Binh province for the term 2026 - 2031.

Speaking at the launch of the first meeting of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Ninh Binh province, term 2026 - 2031, Venerable Thich Quang Ha, Head of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Ninh Binh province affirmed that in the coming term, members of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Ninh Binh province will seriously implement the charter, comply with Buddhist law, guidelines and policies, and be steadfast in their motto.

The Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Ninh Binh province vows to strive to overcome all difficulties and challenges, to successfully complete Buddhist affairs work with capacity, wisdom, and a sense of responsibility, not to disappoint the trust that the Congress has entrusted.
