To ensure solemnity for the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Buddhist Congress, Venerable Thich Le Trang - Vice Chairman of the Executive Council, Head of the Executive Board of GHPGVN HCMC and members of the Standing Board of the Executive Board conducted surveys and actual inspections of work items at Vietnam Quoc Tu.
The inspection area includes the hall location, the high-level delegate area and the exhibition space "45 years of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha: Developing with the country - Entering a new era".

The leader of GHPGVN HCMC directed the sub-committees to pay special attention to the plan to ensure security and order, reception work, health, parking lots and fire prevention and fighting. In addition, the issue of food safety for 600 official delegates attending was also prioritized.
The 1st Ho Chi Minh City Buddhist Congress (held on April 4th and 5th), is the unit designated by the Central GHPGVN to organize the first pilot Congress in 34 provinces and cities nationwide. With the theme "Discipline - Innovation - Effectiveness - Efficiency", the congress not only consolidates the personnel apparatus but also affirms the position of Buddhism in the city in the new era.


Within the framework of the celebration, many meaningful activities will be organized such as: Offering flowers at the Statue of President Ho Chi Minh; offering incense to commemorate Bodhisattva Thich Quang Duc on the morning of April 1st; commemorating at Ben Duoc Martyrs' Temple, Binh Duong Martyrs' Cemetery and Ba Ria - Vung Tau Martyrs' Cemetery.
Previously, the Executive Board of GHPGVN HCMC completed an inter-sectoral meeting on ensuring security and order and held a press conference to widely inform press and media agencies, preparing all resources for the common festival of monks, nuns, and Buddhists of the city.
