Walking to call for conservation of Sarus Cranes at Tram Chim National Park

Dong Thap - 200 delegates walked 5km to deliver a message calling for the conservation of Red-crowned Cranes at Tram Chim National Park.

On the afternoon of December 11, in Tam Nong district, Dong Thap Trade, Tourism and Investment Promotion Center organized a trekking event to convey the message calling for the conservation of Red-crowned Cranes at Tram Chim National Park.

200 delegates representing departments and unions of Dong Thap province and Tam Nong district participated in the walk from Tram Chim Tourist Area Gate to Station C4 in Area A1 (Tram Chim National Park).

The walk took place on a route with a total length of 5km (out and back). The participants wore uniforms printed with the message: “Bringing the Cranes Back” along with a system of billboards and posters on both sides of the road, conveying messages calling for support and cooperation from the community in preserving the ecosystem, especially the Red-crowned Cranes at Tram Chim National Park.

In particular, along the walking route, the Organizing Committee distributed many water stations and local specialties for members to enjoy as a form of promoting the tourism potential of Tram Chim National Park.

This is an activity to kick off the event announcing the Project "Conservation and Development of Red-crowned Cranes in Tram Chim National Park for the period 2022 - 2032" held at 9:00 a.m. on December 12, 2024 at Tram Chim National Park.

The announcement of this important event is expected to be attended by over 200 delegates, central and local guests and foreign guests.
