Accompanying to improve the health of people in Long Son commune

Ho Chi Minh City - More than 200 people received health care in a program implemented by Long Son commune in coordination with businesses.

On August 16, Long Son Commune People's Committee (HCMC) coordinated with Long Son Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (LSP) and accompanying units to organize the program "Proactive Prevention and Community Health Care 2026" for people in the area.

In the program, more than 200 people in Long Son commune have accessed appropriate medical recommendations, in order to proactively protect their own and their families' health. In which, focus on common diseases for people over 40 years old such as hypertension, diabetes... As well as health care and nutritional counseling for mothers and children, including ultrasound, pregnancy health counseling, screening and nutritional counseling for children under 6 years old with nutritional problems.

At the same time, the program also awarded treatment support drugs and some medical equipment to Long Son Commune Health Station with a total value of more than 100 million VND, contributing to strengthening grassroots health capacity and improving the quality of primary health care services in the locality.

According to LSP, starting implementation from 2017, this is one of the key community activities implemented in Long Son commune within the framework of commitments to be implemented in Vietnam. To date, the enterprise and accompanying units have invested more than 7.4 billion VND to organize annual community health care in Long Son commune, contributing to bringing practical health services closer to local people.

According to Long Son Commune People's Committee, the activity is in line with the orientation of strengthening primary health care and promoting the role of grassroots health care, shifting the focus from treatment to proactive prevention, early detection and continuous health management in each age group. Thereby contributing to improving the quality of life and creating a solid foundation for the sustainable development of Long Son commune community.
