On July 26, Phuoc Thang Ward People's Committee (HCMC) coordinated with Hai Dang Parish to organize health check-ups for parishioners and people in the area. This is an activity within the plan for free health check-ups for the whole population according to Directive 17/CT-TTg issued by the Prime Minister.
In the program, doctors and nurses performed general examinations, ultrasounds, blood tests, blood pressure measurements, vision tests, counseling and diagnosing some common diseases for people. Through this, some cases of high blood pressure, diabetes and chronic diseases were guided to monitor, manage health, and be consulted to medical facilities for in-depth examination.
At the same time, the ward police also arranged officers to be on duty at the examination area to support and guide people to carry out residence registration procedures according to regulations.
According to Phuoc Thang Ward People's Committee, the universal health check program has been implemented since the end of June with many practical approaches, including coordination with parishes in the area. Thereby, both effectively implementing community health care and strengthening the connection between local authorities and Catholic compatriots.
On July 26, the program organized health check-ups for about 530 people including parishioners and people in the area. On this occasion, the locality also organized the presentation of 5 gifts to support parishioners in difficult circumstances in the area.
