On May 9, at Thang Long Park, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cho Lon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City organized a launching ceremony to support the "For the Poor" Fund in 2026 through a walking program combined with the opening of Workers' Month with the theme "Vietnamese workers innovate and improve labor productivity".
The program attracted nearly 1,000 union members, association members, CNVC-LD and people in the area to participate, creating a vibrant atmosphere, spreading the spirit of solidarity, sharing and taking care of social security.

At the program, in response to Workers' Month 2026, Cho Lon Ward Trade Union launched grassroots Trade Unions to register to implement many practical emulation projects associated with caring for the lives of union members - workers and urban embellishment. In which, the Ward Trade Union registered to implement social security projects including giving 10 gifts to union members, CNVC-LD who suffered labor accidents and giving 120 gifts to union members - workers in difficult circumstances with a total budget of 75 million VND.

In addition, grassroots Trade Unions in the area also registered to implement 25 social security and urban embellishment projects with a total budget of more than 770 million VND, contributing to building a civilized and meaningful living environment and improving the quality of life of people.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cho Lon ward, the Trade Union and socio-political organizations of the ward presented 100 gifts and 100 free shopping gifts to union members and association members in difficult circumstances with a total value of 70 million VND.
