On July 25, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Gia Lai province said that the province has completed supporting and renovating houses for people with revolutionary contributions and relatives of martyrs in the area.
In 2025, Gia Lai will implement a plan to eliminate 12,520 temporary and dilapidated houses for households, including 9,106 newly built houses and 3,414 repaired houses. Of which, 2,451 households are people with revolutionary contributions and relatives of martyrs; the remaining 10,069 households are poor, near-poor households and households that have just escaped poverty. 1,430 households alone are supported by 2 National Target Programs.
After a period of focusing on implementation, the province has so far completed 100% of the target of housing support for people with revolutionary contributions and martyrs' relatives, with 2,451 units put into use.
For the group of poor, near-poor and newly escaped poverty households, 10,055/10,069 houses have been completed. The remaining 14 newly built houses in Bau Can commune cannot be completed due to unfavorable weather during the construction process. Currently, functional forces are coordinating to support people to speed up the construction progress, complete and put into use soon in the near future.
