Supporting house construction, providing livelihoods to support people in Lam Dong border areas

Lam Dong - People and students in difficult circumstances in Quang Truc border commune are supported with housing construction, livelihoods and scholarships.

On July 13, the Lam Dong Provincial Red Cross Society coordinated with the Provincial Border Guard Command to organize a program to support housing, livelihoods, gifts and scholarships for people and students in Quang Truc commune (Lam Dong province).

At the program, the Organizing Committee awarded funding to support the construction of 2 Red Cross houses for poor and near-poor households facing housing difficulties, with a level of 60 million VND per house.

In which, one house is sponsored by Lam Dong Provincial Lottery Company. The other one uses funds from the Humanitarian Fund of the Provincial Red Cross Society.

In addition to housing support, 10 households in particularly difficult circumstances were given livelihoods, each worth 5 million VND.

The Organizing Committee also presented 10 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to policy families in difficult circumstances.

For students, 10 scholarships, worth 1 million VND each, are awarded to students in difficult circumstances who overcome difficulties and study well.

The total value of resources awarded at the program is 200 million VND.

Housing support, creating more livelihoods and awarding scholarships contribute to sharing difficulties with people in border areas. Thereby, helping households have more conditions to stabilize their lives, students continue to strive to study and contribute to implementing social security work in the area.
