On July 7, the Women's Union of Chanh Phu Hoa Ward (HCMC) said that the unit is implementing a model of "collecting scrap for fundraising". This model has received positive response from women's union members in the area.
Every month, members collect recycled scrap materials such as paper, plastic bottles, cans, and scrap iron. After that, members bring scrap materials to the collection point and sell them at the end of the month.
This activity is primarily to protect the environment, spread awareness of waste sorting at source, and build a green, clean, and beautiful lifestyle.
In addition, this activity is to promote the spirit of thrift and responsibility of women's union members towards the community. At the same time, create a fund to serve social activities.
The Women's Union of Chanh Phu Hoa ward said that in June 2026, the model collected 3.35 million VND, raising the total fund received to more than 51 million VND.
The money from the fund is used by the Women's Union of Chanh Phu Hoa ward to support and help people in difficult circumstances.
