Support for eliminating 156 temporary houses for people in disadvantaged communes in Binh Dinh province

On April 27, the Military Command of Binh Dinh province coordinated to organize a summary of the participation in eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Canh Lien commune.

The Summary was attended by Colonel Nguyen Xuan Son - Political Commissar of the Military Command of Binh Dinh province; leaders of a number of departments, branches and sectors of Binh Dinh province and Van Canh district, Canh Lien commune, and a large number of local people.

Canh Lien is a mountainous commune with complex terrain, the whole commune has 8 villages and hamlets over 10 km from the village. In particular, this is an area with socio-economic infrastructure, people's lives are still facing many difficulties, the multidimensional poor household rate is up to 398 households, accounting for 56.44% of the commune's population. Of which, 156 households were supported to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses during this period.

Implementing the direction of the Provincial Party Secretary and the plan of the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province, the Provincial Military Command has developed a plan, organized forces and means, established a local command post to command and manage the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for the people.

After nearly 3 months of implementation, the Military Command of Binh Dinh province mobilized more than 2,030 working days of soldiers and militia, transporting over 1,050 tons of construction materials including sand, gravel, cement, steel, corrugated iron, steel bar, construction bricks, ceramic tiles... with a road square of over 19,000 km, helping 156 households to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

Notably, the process of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for people in Canh Lien commune, ministries and soldiers of the armed forces of Binh Dinh province encountered many difficulties due to harsh weather, prolonged rain and cold.

Some households live on steep hills, some households do not have access by car, so the transportation of materials and construction and construction face many difficulties and obstacles.

With a high sense of responsibility towards the people, officers and soldiers of the Binh Dinh Provincial Armed Forces overcame difficulties, arranged reasonable mobile time, organized forces into groups to help each household, and at the same time mobilized union members and members of socio-political organizations and households to join the army; mobilized businesses and households selling construction materials to sell materials to households at low prices.

Up to now, the armed forces of Binh Dinh province have built and repaired 38 houses of households without counterpart funds; the remaining households have completed 80 - 90% of the work, benefiting the people hundreds of millions of VND, more than 1 month ahead of schedule assigned by the province.

According to Colonel Nguyen Xuan Son - Political Commissar of the Military Command of Binh Dinh province, the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses not only has material significance but also demonstrates the spirit of mutual love, community solidarity and strengthens people's trust in the leadership of the Party, authorities at all levels, and trust in the Vietnam People's Army.

On this occasion, the Military Command of Binh Dinh province and Van Canh district presented certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in helping people eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses; Binh Dinh province and the Military Command of Van Canh province and district presented many gifts to poor households in the area.
