On January 23, at Hoa Dien Commune People's Committee, the Standing Committee of An Giang Provincial Youth Union in coordination with Hoa Dien Commune People's Committee organized a sports festival to respond to the "Tet of the Army and People" activities in 2026, associated with celebrating the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2026).
Through the sports festival, the attention of Party committees, authorities, unions and armed forces to ethnic minorities in the area has been shown. Through this, propaganda and education of patriotic solidarity, tightening the blood-twin relationship between soldiers and people, contributing to the effective implementation of socio-economic development goals, ensuring national defense and security in the locality.
The competition contents at the sports festival took place soi noi, attracting a large number of officials, union members, youth, soldiers of the armed forces and people to participate, including: men's football tournament and many folk games such as sack jumping, solidarity wheels, tug-of-war, earth pig smashing, ring throwing. Besides the athletes, the sports festival also mobilized about 250 union members, youth and people to participate in cheering, creating a joyful and excited atmosphere in the early days of the new Spring.
Through the sports festival, the Organizing Committee wishes to create a healthy and useful playground, strengthen exchanges and learning between forces, contributing to improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people. At the same time, spreading the profound humanistic meaning of the "Tet of the Army and People" activities in 2026 associated with celebrating the Party and celebrating the Year of the Horse.
