An Giang - The security and order situation on the border line is basically stable, not allowing hotspots to arise.

On the afternoon of January 15, An Giang Provincial Police organized a conference to summarize 3 months of implementing Plan No. 172/KH-CAT-PV01 on strengthening the work of ensuring security and order (ANTT) in communes, wards, and special border areas. At the same time, signing plans and regulations on coordination between the People's Committees of 16 communes, wards, and special border areas in ensuring ANTT on the border line and between the People's Committees of border areas Ha Tien, To Chau, Giang Thanh, Tien Hai.

After 3 months of implementing Plan No. 172, police forces at all levels have proactively grasped the situation, promptly advised Party committees and local authorities on many solutions to ensure social order and safety suitable to the specific characteristics of the border line. The coordination between the Police and functional forces, Party committees, and grassroots authorities is increasingly close and effective. The social order and safety situation on the border line is basically stable, not allowing "hot spots" to arise, contributing to maintaining national sovereignty, security, and social order and safety.

Security and order in communes, wards, and special zones have many positive changes, all types of subjects are regularly reviewed, statistically analyzed and summoned, deterred, and educated; focusing on attacking and resolutely suppressing crimes. Crimes and violations of the law on economy, drugs, and the environment are detected and handled more; the rate of crime discovery on social order is high (83.75%); state management work is strengthened; traffic accidents reduce all 3 criteria.

Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, Major General Nguyen Van Han - Director of An Giang Provincial Police acknowledged and praised the sense of responsibility and proactiveness of the Police of units, localities and People's Committees of communes, wards, and special zones in implementing Plan 172. The comrade emphasized that the border line has a particularly important strategic position in terms of national defense, security and socio-economic development; therefore, ensuring social order and safety must be placed in the overall political tasks of the locality, with the synchronous involvement of the entire political system.

The Director of the Provincial Police requested that in the coming time, units and localities continue to thoroughly grasp the viewpoint of "proactive prevention from early, from afar, from the grassroots level"; promote the core role of the Police force in advising and organizing the implementation of measures to ensure ANTT on the border line. Improve the effectiveness of the coordination regulations just signed, ensuring substantiveness, regularity, and continuity, contributing to maintaining security and order stability, creating a safe and healthy environment for socio-economic development and foreign affairs of the province.
