Mr. Danh Phuc - Head of Ethnic Minorities of Kien Giang province - said that the Congress Steering Committee has directed the Subcommittee on document content, personnel, emulation and rewards to draft the Congress documents, organize to collect opinions according to regulations, complete the 3rd draft, report on the assessment and summary of the implementation of ethnic work, ethnic policies and patriotic emulation movements of ethnic minorities in Kien Giang province in the period of 2019-2024. Goals, tasks and solutions to implement ethnic work, ethnic policies and patriotic emulation movements of ethnic minorities in the period of 2024-2029. The draft contents are based on the reception of opinions from specialized agencies related to the implementation of ethnic work and ethnic policies.
The congress has 30 presentations, the contents of the presentations have been agreed with the agencies and units on the content and topics of the presentations, ensuring no duplication. The congress is expected to directly approve (on the first working day) 3 presentation contents, the contents of the presentations of the advanced models of the remaining outstanding organizations and individuals are integrated into the reportage on the socio-economic situation, summary of ethnic work, ethnic policies and patriotic emulation movements of ethnic minorities in Kien Giang province in the period of 2019-2024, goals, directions, tasks and solutions for the period of 2024-2029.
In particular, the political report of the Congress will evaluate and summarize the implementation of ethnic work, ethnic policies and patriotic emulation movements of ethnic minorities in Kien Giang province in the period of 2019-2024; goals, tasks and solutions to implement ethnic work, ethnic policies and patriotic emulation movements of ethnic minorities in the period of 2024-2029.

Mr. Phuc also informed that in the province, 12/15 districts and cities are qualified to organize the congress, 12/12 districts and cities have established a Steering Committee and issued a Plan to organize the congress at the same level; localities that are not qualified to organize the congress will organize a joint conference with the Fatherland Front Committee, departments, branches, and organizations at the same level and representatives of leaders of communes, wards, and towns where ethnic minorities live, to ask for opinions from the Standing Committee and the People's Committee of the district and city on the selection of delegates and the list of delegates to attend the provincial congress.
