In 2026, a free congenital heart disease screening program for children is expected to be organized at 24 schools in Da Nang City, aiming to detect congenital heart diseases early and help children have access to necessary care and treatment services.
The first examination session took place from May 12 to 15 in Thang Dien commune, with more than 4,000 students being examined for free. According to the plan, the next session will be held in September in Duy Nghia commune and October in Thang Binh commune.
In addition to health care activities, educational support programs also continue to target students in difficult circumstances. Within the framework of the "Opening the Way to the Future" scholarship program, 35 female students from 17 ethnic minorities across the country participated in exchange, experience and skills training activities in Da Nang from August 17 to 20.
Through experiential activities, female students have more opportunities to learn about the real working environment, interact, develop skills and broaden their perspectives in the process of studying and growing up.
The above activities are part of a cooperation program between VinaCapital Foundation and Hoiana maintained since 2016. In 10 years, the two units have coordinated to implement 6 programs with 12 grants, total value of nearly 10 billion VND, focusing on health care, education support, disaster recovery and support for people during the COVID-19 epidemic.
Maintaining screening programs, supporting treatment and empowering students in difficult circumstances contributes to bringing social resources to the right groups that need support, while spreading the spirit of joining hands for the community.
