On November 30, at Quan Am Pagoda, Tra On Commune, medical staff and doctors of Cho Ray Hospital coordinated with Duong Minh Foreign Language School, Van Phat Company and the authorities of the communes to organize medical examinations, distribute medicine and give free gifts to people, and screen for heart disease for children in the area.
The free medical examination and medicine distribution program has served about 400 people and students, including children of preschool, primary and secondary schools.
Here, doctors and nurses conduct blood pressure measurements, general examinations, electrocardiograms, ultrasounds and congenital heart screening, helping to detect cardiovascular disease and other health problems early, thereby promptly advising people on treatment regimens and care.
The team also provided detailed advice to cases of children with heart surgery instructions, helping families understand the treatment method, costs and support programs at specialized hospitals.
In addition, people are also given medicine for treatment for 2 to 3 weeks, depending on their medical condition, to facilitate home health care.
On this occasion, the delegation presented 400 free gifts, each including instant noodles, medicine and essential necessities, worth about 400500 thousand VND. These gifts not only support daily life but also encourage spirit and raise awareness of health care for people.
