On June 11-12, in Cam Duong ward, the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Youth Federation of Lao Cai province, term 2026-2029 took place with the participation of 265 delegates, representing over 320,000 young people of ethnic groups in the province, according to VNA.
The Congress consulted and elected the Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation of Lao Cai province for the first term, 2026-2029, consisting of 69 people. At the same time, the consultation elected Mr. Ha Duc Hai - Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union as Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Federation of Lao Cai province for the term 2026-2029.
With the action slogan: Aspiration - Pioneering - Creative - Integration, the Association's work and the youth movement of Lao Cai province identify the breakthrough in the new term as: Strongly innovating methods of uniting and gathering youth on a digital platform; improving the effectiveness of applying information technology and digital transformation in the Association's activities;
Promoting the pioneering role of youth in entrepreneurship, creativity, digital transformation and international integration; focusing on building a strong Association organization from the grassroots level, improving the quality of Association officials, especially in remote and isolated areas, and ethnic minority areas.
The Congress agreed to build 10 key targets. In which, every year 50,000 young people are improved digital capacity; at least 20,000 turns of young people are equipped with skills to identify and handle risks in cyberspace.
Every year, 50,000 young people participate in activities to improve foreign language skills and international integration; there is at least one activity to support ethnic minority youth in preserving and promoting national cultural identity...
To achieve the above goals, the Vietnam Youth Federation of Lao Cai province will accompany young people in learning, starting a business, and starting a career; promoting digital transformation, applying science and technology and AI among young people.
Promoting the role of youth volunteers participating in socio-economic development, building new rural areas, civilized urban areas and protecting the environment. Improving the quality of the Association organization, the quality of Association officials; expanding the front of solidarity, gathering youth, especially young workers, ethnic minority youth, and vulnerable youth.
Over the past time, Lao Cai youth have actively participated in supporting the construction of the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV power line project; effectively implemented the "16 rural youth bridges" construction cluster; the "30 days and nights supporting administrative procedures for people" campaign, implementing many activities to build new rural areas, protect the environment, digital transformation and social security, and replicate the "Youth say no to drugs" Club model in 100% of communes and wards.
These results contribute to strengthening people's trust in young people, arousing the spirit of responsibility and aspiration to contribute in each young person.
