On August 26, Lai Chau province held a meeting with nearly 150 delegates who are meritorious people of the revolution, exemplary policy families on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tong Thanh Hai - Permanent Vice Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee, expressed his deep gratitude to the heroes of the armed forces, war invalids, sick soldiers, meritorious people, and policy families who have made great contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party, the nation and the development of the province.
Mr. Tong Thanh Hai also suggested that local Party committees, authorities, agencies and units in the whole province continue to pay attention to caring for people with revolutionary contributions and policy families.
In particular, continue to pay attention to better implementing the work of caring for meritorious people, policy families, especially meritorious people, policy families in difficult circumstances, isolated areas, remote areas, and ethnic minority areas.
On this occasion, Lai Chau province presented gifts to express gratitude to families of war invalids, martyrs, people with meritorious services to the revolution, and exemplary policy families.
After the arrangement and merger, Lai Chau province still has 38 communes and wards. Currently, the province has a population of over 512 thousand people with 20 ethnic groups living together.
The total product in the province is estimated at 5.4%/year, the average person is estimated at 65 million VND, an increase of 21.3 million VND compared to 2020.
