On May 24, information from Nghe An Provincial Party Committee said that the Steering Committee of Nghe An province on eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses has just signed and issued Official Letter No. 06-CV/BCD on the leadership and direction to accelerate the progress of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province.
According to the report of the Provincial Steering Committee, as of May 22, the whole province still has 3,291 temporary and dilapidated houses that have not been processed, of which 1,760 houses are owned by people with revolutionary contributions and martyrs' relatives - accounting for more than half of the remaining total.
Facing the above situation, the Steering Committee of the program to erase the temporary and dilapidated houses in Nghe An province asked the localities to fiercely urge, focus on directing and mobilizing the entire political system to bring the program to the destination on time - before July 31, 2025, to celebrate the 78th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs' Day.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee - requested localities to seriously implement the spirit of "6 clear": clear people, clear work, clear responsibilities, clear authority, clear time, clear results. Districts, towns and cities need to send documents committing to complete on time to the Provincial Steering Committee before May 31, 2025.
The Provincial Steering Committee commended localities with high completion rates such as: Hoang Mai rural area (100%), Quy Hop district (99.88%), Que Phong (96.53%), Quynh Luu (96.41%), Ky Son (95.26%)...
However, many localities are still slow to implement, especially the work of supporting meritorious people. Typically, Dien Chau district has only completed 55.74% of the total number of houses, while the group of meritorious people alone reached only 38.34%; Con Cuong district has completed less than 60%, of which the group of meritorious people only reached more than 28%.
Faced with this situation, the Steering Committee requires the District Party Secretaries - Heads of District Steering Committees - to take full responsibility to the Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee if they do not complete on schedule. The completion of this program will also be an important criterion for reviewing, evaluating, and arranging staff after the merger.
The Provincial Steering Committee requires attaching specific responsibilities of the responsible staff to each dossier and each project. The acceptance and handover work must be carried out in accordance with regulations, ensuring quality and transparency.
Members of the Provincial Steering Committee need to directly go to the grassroots and monitor progress, especially in localities with an implementation rate of less than 70%. At the same time, report the results to the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee before May 31.
The Standing Agency of the Steering Committee "Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province" will regularly update, summarize the progress, and promptly propose documents to urge if the locality is behind schedule. If problems arise, districts must proactively report to promptly resolve them, not to affect the overall progress.
Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee on the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses said:
The program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses is a major policy, with profound humanitarian significance, demonstrating the gratitude and care of the Party and State for people with meritorious services, relatives of martyrs and policy beneficiaries. There is not much remaining time, requiring localities to promote the highest sense of responsibility, implement synchronously, resolutely and effectively. We request that localities commit to completing on schedule, prioritizing advance support for meritorious people, martyrs' relatives and poor households in special difficulties.
