Quang Ngai province has supported the construction, repair and removal of more than 5,200 temporary and dilapidated houses.

According to statistics from the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Quang Ngai province, after nearly 6 months of launching a program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the area, the whole province has supported the construction and repair of 5,222 out of a total of 6,628 houses.

According to statistics, Quang Ngai province has over 6,600 households in need of support to build new and repair houses. The total implementation cost is nearly 330 billion VND, of which the State budget is more than 270 billion VND, the rest is mobilized from socialization.

In November 2024, Quang Ngai province held a launching ceremony to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. Responding to the program, many individuals, businesses, and agencies have donated more than VND242 billion to join hands with the province to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, helping thousands of people with housing difficulties have stable housing.

Through various programs and capital sources, Quang Ngai province has promoted the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses to help people with housing difficulties have stable housing.

Of which, from the capital of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction, 722 houses have been supported, with 343 houses completed and 379 houses under construction; the National Target Program on Economic and Social Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas has implemented 620 houses, of which 179 houses have been completed and 441 houses are under construction.

The housing support program for people with revolutionary contributions and martyrs' relatives alone has 1,131 houses deployed, with 653 houses completed and 478 houses under construction.

In particular, the Program to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses for Poor and Near-Poor Households has achieved the highest implementation rate of more than 94%, with 2,749 houses implemented, of which 1,656 houses have been completed and 1,093 houses are under construction.

Quang Ngai province is focusing on completing the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses before August 30, 2025, 2 months ahead of schedule as requested by the Prime Minister before October 31, 2025.
