18 localities complete the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses

As of the morning of May 18, 2025, 18/63 localities nationwide have no more temporary or dilapidated houses.

According to the report of the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, last week, the whole country had 4 more localities completing the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses and holding official announcement ceremonies including: Son La, Binh Dinh, Binh Phuoc and Hau Giang.

Thus, as of the morning of May 18, 2025, 18/63 localities nationwide have no more temporary or dilapidated houses. For the 4 localities that have just completed, the updated statistics are as follows:

Son La province has completed the removal of 3,058 houses (2,653 newly built, 405 repaired):

Of which, housing support for people with revolutionary contributions and martyrs' relatives is 200 houses (98 newly built, 102 repaired); housing support under the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction is 314 houses (213 newly built, 101 repaired); housing support under the Program to launch the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses is 2,544 houses (2342 newly built, 202 repaired).

Binh Dinh province has completed the removal of 4,411 houses (built 2,531 new houses, repaired 1,880 houses):

Housing support for people with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of 2,224 units (newly built 893 units, repairing 1,331 units); Housing support under the national target program sustainable poverty reduction 109 apartments (newly built 64 units; repairing 45 units); Housing support under the program to launch temporary houses, dilapidated houses 2,078 units (newly built 1,574 units, repair 504 units).

Binh Phuoc has completed the removal of 765 houses:

Housing support for people with revolutionary contributions and martyrs' relatives is 140 units; Housing support under the Program to launch the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses is 625 units.

Hau Giang has completed the removal of 1,479 houses (built 833 new houses, repaired 646 houses):

Housing support for people with meritorious services to the revolution, relatives of 420 units (new construction of 127 units, repairing 293 units); Poor households support housing under the National Target Program on socio -economic development of the ethnic minorities in 12 units (newly built 12 units); Support housing under the program to launch temporary houses, dilapidated houses 1,047 units (new construction of 694 units, repair 353 units).

18 localities have completed the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses, including: Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Vinh Phuc, Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Bac Ninh, Can Tho, Khanh Hoa, Tay Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Kien Giang, Binh Phuoc, Vinh Long, Tra Vinh, Son La, Binh Dinh, Hau Giang.
