In the last days of March, the training atmosphere at the General Service Center of Nghia Lo ward, Lao Cai province took place urgently and sôi nổi. Thai ethnic artisans and mass actors are diligently completing each movement and formation, preparing for the journey to participate in the Bac Ninh Festival 2026.
This is an activity within the plan to prepare for the UNESCO Certificate Award Ceremony and Bac Ninh Festival 2026. The Lao Cai Provincial Culture and Cinema Center has coordinated with the People's Committee of Nghia Lo and Trung Tam wards to organize force gathering, build and practice an art program imbued with national identity.
The training session gathered 27 typical artisans and actors of the Thai ethnic group from two localities. These are all faces with performing experience, deeply understanding of Thai Xoe Art - a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity recognized by UNESCO.
Throughout 3 days, from March 22 to 24, artisans focused on completing the program with a serious and responsible spirit. Each flapping movement, each step of team movement was carefully adjusted to ensure uniformity, flexibility and fully convey the beauty of the heritage.
It is expected that the program will have a general rehearsal on March 25 before the troupe sets off to participate in the performance in Bac Ninh.
Participating in the Bac Ninh Festival 2026 is not only an important cultural task but also an opportunity to promote the image of the land and people of Muong Lo - Lao Cai to a wide public at home and abroad.
Through performances, the unique traditional values of the Thai ethnic people continue to be introduced and widely spread.
Preparations for the troupe have been fully implemented. Costumes, performance props, meals, accommodation and transportation are all arranged from funds provided by the Provincial People's Committee, creating favorable conditions for artisans to practice and participate in performances with peace of mind.
According to the plan, the group of artisans and extras will participate in performances at the outdoor stage of the Bac Ninh Provincial Culture - Exhibition Center from March 26 to 30. 3.
With careful preparation and high sense of responsibility, the delegation is expected to bring impressive performances, contributing to honoring the value of national cultural heritage in the large festival space.
