Na Ngoi is a commune in the mountainous border area, with large areas, many villages far from the center, and people's lives still face many difficulties. Previously, a part of the people still had the habit of using homemade guns, traps and deadly tools to hunt for wild animals. storing these dangerous items poses a potential risk of accidents, fires and explosions, affecting security and order.
Faced with that reality, Na Ngoi Commune Police have developed a specific propaganda plan, coordinating with local Party committees and authorities, village chiefs, village elders, and prestigious people to directly mobilize each household. The police force regularly goes to the grassroots, organizes meetings, integrates legal propaganda in community activities; at the same time, uses a loudspeaker system to disseminate regulations on the management and use of weapons, explosives and support tools.
Thanks to the way of making it in accordance with the characteristics of the mountains, the mobilization work has brought about clear results. Many people voluntarily brought homemade guns, bullets, explosives and dangerous items to the commune police headquarters to hand over. Some cases also provide information to help the authorities detect and seize more types of illegal weapons, contributing to preventing violations of the law.
According to Na Ngoi Commune Police, cases of voluntary surrender of weapons are all carried out in accordance with the "no handling" policy, creating a peace of mind for people when coordinating with the authorities.
In the coming time, Na Ngoi Commune Police will continue to maintain the receipt of weapons at the headquarters and through village chiefs and officers in charge of the area; at the same time, step up propaganda, call on people not to buy, sell, store, or use weapons illegally, actively denounce violations, contributing to building a stable and peaceful border area.
