Cao Bang - The locality aims to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses before the Party Congresses at all levels.

In 2025, Cao Bang province aims to support over 7,000 houses, with a total cost of over 300 billion VND. Leaders at all levels have requested each locality to sign a commitment to complete support before the 20th Provincial Party Congress by the end of 2025.

However, according to actual records, there are still many poor, near-poor households and policy families living in Cao Bang province, and limited economic conditions have more or less hindered people from building houses.

Facing this situation, the Fatherland Front Committee of Cao Bang province has promoted propaganda and mobilizing people, businesses, organizations and individuals inside and outside the province to contribute to the "For the Poor" Fund and the Social Security Fund. At the same time, coordinate with the provincial People's Committee and departments to review and make a list of support, public and transparent.

From the beginning of 2025 to now, the Provincial Fatherland Front has received a total support budget of 134.66 billion VND. Of which, the Ministry of Public Security provided the largest support with 131 billion VND; many other units also contributed such as: Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, VNPT Cao Bang, VietinBank Lang Son branch, Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, Customs Branch of Region VI, Lam Hong Business Club...

This funding has been allocated to districts to build new or repair houses for poor households, with support levels of 60 million VND/new house and 30 million VND/repaired house. The Ministry of Public Security alone allocated funds to 9 districts with a total of more than 2,500 houses.

The Cao Bang Provincial Fatherland Front Committee also developed a plan to monitor the implementation of the 2024-2025 period of the Rural Development and Investment Program, coordinate with competent agencies to monitor housing policies for poor households, and review related policies to improve support efficiency.

To complete the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025, the province still needs to mobilize nearly 70 billion VND from socialized sources. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels will continue to call for and allocate resources appropriately, promote the role of supervision and create consensus among people and businesses to provide stable housing for the poor.

With the motto "No one is left behind", the Cao Bang Provincial Fatherland Front is joining hands with the entire political system and society to contribute to the completion of this humanitarian goal.

In addition to the Vietnam Fatherland Front, other social organizations also joined hands to eliminate temporary houses. On May 14, the Mobile Police Department coordinated with the Youth Union of De Tham Ward to organize activities to support the construction of houses for poor households in Group 8, De Tham Ward (Cao Bang City).

The family supported is Mr. Nong Van Tu's household, a poor household with three members, of which his son is born with a disability and is living in a temporary house in serious disrepair.

Participating forces have supported the demolition of old houses, transportation of materials and construction of new houses, bringing more stable and safer housing to families.

According to the commitment of localities, Cao Bang province aims to complete all the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the area by October 30, 2025.
