Responding to World Day to raise awareness about bomb and mine accident prevention April 4, 2026, the Vietnam National Mine Action Center (VNMAC) launched an online contest with the theme "Raising awareness of bomb and mine accident prevention, explosives left by war in Vietnam".
The contest aims to promote propaganda and raise awareness of all classes of people about the dangers of bombs, mines, and explosives left over from the war. Thereby contributing to reducing accidents, towards a safe living environment, serving sustainable socio-economic development.
According to the organizers, the contest is implemented nationwide, for Vietnamese citizens who are able to use computers or smart devices connected to the internet. In addition to the general prize system, the contest has a separate prize system for contestants in the area of the "Bomb and Mine Action for Hoa Binh Village, Vietnam - Korea (KVPVP)" project in Gia Lai, Quang Ngai and Hue City. Contestants in this area are considered for prizes in both systems.
The contest is organized online at https://thitructuyen. vnmac. gov. vn or through the VNMAC electronic information portal. Each round includes 15 multiple-choice questions, time 30 minutes. Contestants are allowed to take the exam multiple times to choose the highest results.
The time takes place from 0:00 on April 4, 2026 to 0:00 on May 4, 2026. The expected results will be announced from May 15, 2026, the summary and award ceremony will be held in the last week of May 2026.
The organizing committee awarded prizes to two systems: national and project area. Each system has 1 first prize worth 10 million VND, along with second, third and consolation prizes accompanied by certificates of merit.
The award consideration is based on the criteria of answering all questions correctly, predicting accurately or most accurately the number of participants. In case the results are equivalent, the faster completion time of the exam will be prioritized.
Through the contest, VNMAC expects to spread the message of raising community awareness about preventing bomb and mine accidents, explosives, and at the same time calling for the joint efforts of the whole society in overcoming the consequences of war, for the safety of people and sustainable development.
