On July 1st, Trung My Tay ward officially inaugurated and put into use Khu pho 54 park. The project is implemented to create green spaces, meet the community living needs of local people, and practically celebrate the 50th anniversary of Saigon City - Gia Dinh honored to be named after President Ho Chi Minh (July 2, 1976 - July 2, 2026) and one year of ward establishment.
According to Mr. Nguyen Hai Lam, Vice Chairman of Trung My Tay Ward People's Committee, the total investment of the project is about 250 million VND. This funding is fully mobilized from socialization, through contributions from organizations, individuals, civil servants and local people. The construction process is completed in 30 days, starting from dismantling temporary structures and cleaning the ground.
The park construction area has an area of nearly 770m2, which is part of the land belonging to the housing infrastructure project serving resettlement on Xuyen A street planned from 2002. Due to slow implementation, this land was once encroached upon to build temporary works, becoming a spontaneous waste collection site and causing environmental pollution. The renovation of the land into a park has completely solved the above situation, contributing to urban aesthetics.
The new park is equipped with synchronous items including concrete grounds, green tree system, flower beds, outdoor exercise equipment, folk game drawing area and Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space. The entire area uses solar lighting systems.
As a project to improve the quality of urban space and meet the needs of cultural and sports activities of people, in the past time, the political system of Trung My Tay ward has focused all resources to renovate and build a new Green Park project in the locality. The inauguration of Khu pho 54 park contributes to eliminating environmental pollution points, embellishing urban beauty, and creating green spaces to serve the cultural activities and health training needs of the residential community.
