Recently, Binh Phuoc province has officially announced the completion of the housing support plan in the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for people in need in the province, 6 months earlier than the regulations of the Prime Minister and 2 months earlier than the province's plan.
Implementing the Prime Minister's launch on the Program to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses nationwide, Binh Phuoc province has completed the construction and repair of 765/765 houses, with a total cost of 53 billion 790 million VND.
Of which, 625 houses are for poor and near-poor households with a budget of 45 billion 240 million VND; 140 houses are for meritorious people with a budget of 8 billion 550 million VND.
The program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses was implemented by Binh Phuoc with the mobilization of many different resources. In addition to capital from local budgets, Binh Phuoc province also takes advantage of the 5% savings in regular expenditures in 2024 to support the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.
Ms. Ton Ngoc Hanh - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee - said that Binh Phuoc province identified this as not only a temporary emulation movement but also a persistent process to ensure "all people have stable and safe housing, which is the foundation for settling down and making a living, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction and socio-economic development".
In the coming time, the Provincial Party Committee will continue to lead and direct the implementation of reviewing households in difficult circumstances, households that have enjoyed housing support policies for many years but have been degraded, severely damaged, and need to be repaired to have appropriate support and repair plans.

Previously, the People's Committee of Tuy Phuoc district (Binh Dinh province) also held a conference to summarize the emulation movement of the entire population joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the district in 2025.
Although Phuoc is the first locality in Binh Dinh province to complete the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses 1 month earlier than planned, on the occasion of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the complete liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
According to the review of the District Steering Committee and communes and towns, there are 114 households in Tuy Phuoc district. This includes 71 houses with meritorious services, relatives of martyrs (7 new buildings, 44 repair houses); 22 houses of poor and near -poor households (11 new houses, 11 repair houses); 21 houses of newly escaped from poverty (12 new buildings, 9 repair houses).
With the goal of eliminating the situation of temporary and dilapidated houses by the end of May 2025, Tuy Phuoc district has mobilized all resources and synchronously deployed solutions.
To date, the whole district has completed support for 114/114 houses with a total cost of more than 6.2 billion VND. At the same time, enough funds were disbursed to 114 houses with a total amount of VND4.920 million, reaching 100% of the assigned capital plan; 8 households have registered to borrow capital from the District Social Policy Bank, including 2 poor households and 6 near-poor households with a disbursed amount of VND1010 million.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Xuan - Permanent Vice Chairman of Tuy Phuoc District People's Committee - said that in 2025, with the support and contribution of organizations, individuals, socio-political organizations, and charitable social units, the district received an additional 710 million VND to build and repair 12 houses for poor, near-poor households, and households that have just escaped poverty.
Local people and armed forces have contributed 1,000 working days and over 255 million VND (including cash, wall paint, construction materials) to support disadvantaged households in the process of demolishing and building houses.
Accordingly, the completion of the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses not only improves living conditions but also raises the spirit of pride and the will to rise up of the people of Tuy Phuoc district.
People in difficulty, especially people with revolutionary contributions, relatives of martyrs, poor and near-poor households, have the opportunity to live in solid, safe houses that are suitable for living conditions.
