On April 30, the Management Board of Pu Huong Nature Reserve (BTTN) said that the unit had just coordinated with the People's Committee of Nga My commune (Nghe An province) to organize the signing of a Regulation on coordination in the management, protection and development of forests associated with forest fire prevention and fighting (PCCCR) in the area.
The regulation focuses on clarifying the mechanism for strengthening coordination in forest protection between the two sides in patrolling, controlling, detecting and handling violations of forestry laws; and at the same time specifically assigning responsibilities in PCCCR, legal propaganda and mobilizing local forces.
To ensure unified implementation, the People's Committee of Nga My commune assigned the Economic - Infrastructure department to be the focal point for coordination; the Management Board of Pù Huống Nature Reserve assigned the Pù Huống Forest Protection Department to preside over and directly organize the implementation.
The signing of regulations aims to strengthen the connection between local authorities and the Management Board of Pu Huong NR in forest management, protection and development, thereby improving the effectiveness of state management of forestry.
Through the regulations, the two units aim to promote the role of grassroots authorities, mobilize community participation in strengthening coordination in forest protection, link nature conservation work with socio-economic development, create sustainable livelihoods for people in buffer zones, contributing to reducing pressure on forest resources.
