The poverty rate among ethnic minorities continues to decrease

According to the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religious Affairs of Tuyen Quang province, the poverty rate among ethnic minorities (DTTS) decreased by an average of 4% or more.

At the conference to summarize and evaluate the results of ethnic and religious work in 2025, and deploy tasks for 2026 recently, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religious Affairs of Tuyen Quang province said that, in its role as the standing agency of the National Target Program for socio-economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the period 2021-2025, the Department has advised on the effective implementation of policy resources.

The impressive results recorded in 2025 are that the whole province has 45 communes leaving particularly difficult areas (including 27 communes in region III and 18 communes in region II). The poverty rate among ethnic minorities decreased by an average of 4% or more.

In the work of removing temporary and dilapidated houses, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religious Affairs of Tuyen Quang province has closely coordinated with sectors and localities to complete 15,077/15,083 houses, reaching a rate of nearly 100%, this is a great effort contributing to solving essential needs and ensuring social security for people.

Regarding the field of religion, currently the whole province has 396 religious establishments and 3 main religions operating stably. Religious activity points basically comply well with the Party's regulations and the State's laws. During the year, there were no complicated cases of taking advantage of ethnic and religious issues to cause insecurity or infringe on national security.

At the conference, delegates discussed the results achieved in 2025 and agreed on the direction and tasks for 2026. In which, the focus is on continuing to well implement the Party's guidelines and policies on ethnic affairs;

From there, promote digital transformation and administrative reform, improve the efficiency of state management of beliefs and religions right from the grassroots level; Regularly grasp the lives of ethnic minorities and the situation of implementing ethnic programs and policies at the grassroots level to promptly propose solutions to obstacles under their authority;

Strengthen guidance, inspection, and supervision of the implementation of programs and policies for ethnic minority areas in the province.
