According to the Report presented at the conference, ethnic and religious work in 2025 has achieved many important results. The national target program for socio-economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the period 2021-2025 basically completed the target, with 6/9 target groups achieving or exceeding the plan, total resources implemented over 137,000 billion VND.
The poverty rate of the whole country has decreased to about 1%, and the poverty rate among ethnic minorities is still about 11%.
The fields of culture, education, and healthcare in ethnic minority and religious communities continue to have positive changes.
The work of preserving and promoting traditional cultural values associated with community tourism development has been promoted; many festivals and cultural heritages of ethnic groups have been recognized at the national and international levels.
In education, the organization of the high school graduation exam and enrollment in 2025 took place safely and seriously.
In particular, the policy of exempting all tuition fees for students from preschool to the end of public high school, implemented from the 2025-2026 school year, is identified as a major policy with profound social significance for ethnic minority areas and religious areas.
The situation of beliefs and religions in 2025 is basically stable. The activities of religious organizations are carried out in accordance with the law; dignitaries, officials, and followers actively participate in patriotic emulation movements and social charity activities, contributing to consolidating the great national unity bloc, maintaining political stability and social order and safety.
