On September 13, Quan Am Pagoda (Tra On commune) coordinated with local authorities to organize the presentation of 130 gifts to poor households and households in difficult circumstances in the area.
The activity has practical significance, spreading the spirit of humanity of Buddhism and contributing to caring for social security in the locality.
Each gift is worth 250,000 VND, including cash and essential necessities, helping people reduce difficulties in daily life and have more conditions to stabilize their lives.
Venerable Thich Tanh Binh - abbot of Quan Am Pagoda - said that this is an annual activity that the Pagoda maintains during the Vu Lan season.
Through small gifts but containing meaning, the Pagoda hopes to convey concern, sharing and adding faith and determination to help people rise up in life, while preserving the fine tradition of the Vu Lan season.
