On the morning of June 22, at Dong Thap University, the Political Academy of Region IV in coordination with Can Tho University, Dong Thap University and Vinh Long University of Technology and Education organized a conference to summarize and award prizes for the 6th Public Opinion Contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation in 2026.

The contest is implemented on the basis of the plan of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and the coordination program between the Region IV Political Academy and universities in the Mekong Delta (Mekong Delta) to concretize the implementation of Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW of the Politburo. Thereby, contributing to linking research, teaching and study of political theory activities with the requirement to improve the ability to identify and refute false and toxic information in cyberspace.
According to the assessment of the Organizing Committee, the contest was very successful when it not only recorded a high increase in the number of entries but also showed a strong shift in propaganda methods when many products applying digital technology, artificial intelligence and modern communication platforms were included in the contest, contributing to spreading the value of protecting the Party's ideological foundation to a large number of union members, youth and students.

The outstanding new point of this year's competition is that the Political Academy of Region IV proactively innovated the method of deploying the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation in a modern direction, adapting to the digital media environment.
In addition to traditional political articles, officials, lecturers, students and students are trained in applying artificial intelligence, designing video clips, podcasts, producing digital media products and building propaganda content on social networking platforms. Thanks to that, the contest not only increased in the number of works but also appeared many modern media products, with vivid and accessible forms of expression, contributing to bringing content protecting the Party's ideological foundation closer to young people.

Another milestone is the expansion of the scale of coordination between the Political Academy of Region IV and universities in the Mekong Delta region. This linkage model not only improves the quality of the competition but also creates a premise for 2027 to continue to expand more universities to participate, gradually forming a network of young forces with knowledge, digital skills and responsibility to participate in protecting the ideological foundation of the Party.
Within the framework of the program, a round table discussion with the theme "Mekong Delta Students with the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the context of digital transformation" attracted the participation of university leaders and a large number of students.
According to the Organizing Committee, this year's contest received 872 entries, including 856 written works of magazine, print newspaper, online newspaper types and 16 works in video clip, radio, television genres. After the preliminary round, 80 excellent works were selected to participate in the contest at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics level.

In particular, video clips, radio and television products are elaborately invested in terms of content, images and transmission methods, showing a strong shift from traditional propaganda forms to digital media, meeting the requirements of political and ideological education in the context of digital transformation.
At the conference, the Organizing Committee awarded 45 prizes to outstanding works, including 7 A prizes, 11 B prizes, 11 C prizes and 16 consolation prizes; including 30 prizes for officials and lecturers and 15 prizes for students.
