On April 22nd and 23rd, at Firing Range 559 in Dak Lak province, Regiment 728 (16th Corps) organized live-fire drills for forces in 2026.
A new point in combat training in 2026 is that the Regiment organizes K54 pistol shooting exercises 2 and 2b for officers.

This is the first year this content has been applied, with higher requirements and standards, closer to combat reality, focusing on improving situation handling skills and weapon use skills in complex conditions. This change requires the team of officers to firmly grasp theory, and at the same time practice proficiently and flexibly in practice.
Thanks to doing a good job of preparing materials for training, training grounds, lesson plans and the proactiveness and activeness of the forces in training practice, the unit has completed quite a few subjects.

Accordingly, the K54 pistol shooting results of officers have 93.8% meeting requirements (over 48.6% good and excellent). AK submachine guns of professional soldiers and defense workers are 100% meeting requirements (84.3% good and excellent). The unit ensures absolute safety in all aspects.
Through live-fire test, it has contributed to consolidating trust, improving bravery, steadfast psychology and confidence for officers and soldiers in using weapons and equipment. At the same time, it continues to affirm the training quality and combat readiness of the Regiment, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
