On August 2, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa - Chairman of the People's Committee of Ia Ru commune (Dak Lak province) said that, implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Education and Training, the locality has reviewed and developed a plan to establish an inter-level boarding high school (including primary and secondary schools).
After merging administrative boundaries, Ia Ru commune remains in its current state, currently has 3 schools: Nguyen Dinh Chieu Primary School, Nguyen Thi Dinh Secondary School and Chu Van An Primary - Secondary School.
It is expected that in the 2025 - 2026 school year, the whole commune will have 963 students (519 primary school students, 444 secondary school students). In the period of 2026 - 2030, the number of students at these two levels will increase to about 1,125 students.
In response to the need for student growth and the orientation to improve the quality of education, the Commune People's Committee proposed 2 options: Building a new inter-level school on an empty plot of land near the Commune People's Committee (in village 11). However, this requires the Provincial People's Committee to allow the planning adjustment.
Renovation, upgrading and expansion of Nguyen Thi Dinh Secondary School - this option helps save costs and reduce public investment pressure.
However, currently, Nguyen Thi Dinh Secondary School is only expanding by 1.4 hectares, and needs to take more land in the police headquarters planning and auction land.
"For the future of students, the People's Committee of the commune will try its best to soon complete the boarding school, creating the best learning conditions for them," Mr. Hoa affirmed.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that the Department of Education and Training had proposed the Provincial People's Committee to build inter-level boarding schools in 4 border communes bordering the Kingdom of Cambodia, including: Buon Don, Ea Bung, Ia Lap and Ia Ri. Each commune will have a school.
Currently, in these 4 border communes, there are a total of 13 schools (7 primary schools, 6 secondary schools) with 4,387 students. Of which, 3,852 students (accounting for 87.8%) study 2 sessions/day, including 2,059 primary school students and 1,343 secondary school students.
