The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Dang commune (An Giang) has just coordinated with a sponsor unit to organize a ceremony to hand over 7 Great Solidarity houses to poor households, near-poor households and households in difficult circumstances in the area, according to the An Giang Provincial e-Portal.
The houses are built with an area of 32-60m2, with brick foundations, zinc frames, zinc columns, corrugated iron roofs and walls. These are all poor, near-poor households or households facing housing difficulties in the commune.

The total cost of building 7 houses is 481 million VND. Of which, Kien Giang Lottery Co., Ltd. supported 420 million VND; the remaining part, equivalent to 61 million VND, was contributed by families and labor days.
At the ceremony, representatives of local authorities, sponsors and construction units presented symbolic plaques of Great Solidarity houses and 7 practical gifts to supported households.
The completion and commissioning of Great Solidarity houses contributes to the effective implementation of the Party's guidelines and the State's social security policies in caring for the lives of poor households, near-poor households and households in difficult circumstances. At the same time, it helps families have stable housing, create motivation to feel secure in working, develop the economy, and gradually rise up in life.
