The Phuoc Thanh pagoda charity delegation organized the presentation of 300 gifts to support ethnic minorities in difficult circumstances in Dak O commune.

On June 11, at Hue Nang Pagoda (Dak O commune), Venerable Thich Minh Hau, Deputy Head of the Central Ethnic Buddhist Guidance Sub-Committee, Standing Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Dong Nai City, abbot of Duc Hanh Pagoda (Phu Nghia commune) guided the Phuoc Thanh Pagoda charity delegation to visit and present 300 gifts worth 150 million VND to ethnic minority households in difficult circumstances in Dak O commune.

Also attending the gift-giving ceremony were Venerable Thich Nguyen Buu, abbot of Phuoc Thanh Pagoda (Binh Loi Trung ward, Ho Chi Minh City); Venerable Thich Chi Dinh, abbot of Hue Nang Pagoda; Buddhist family Song Anh - program sponsor.

In a warm and meaningful atmosphere, the delegation presented 300 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, including 200,000 VND in cash and necessities, to representatives of households in difficult circumstances.

Departing from Buu Thanh Pagoda, overcoming a long journey full of sunshine and wind, to the northeastern border commune of Dong Nai City, the delegation presented small gifts amidst the scorching sun. Many members of the delegation expressed their joy when accompanying the Venerable Monks, directly giving gifts and sharing with people in the border area. For the members of the delegation, this is a meaningful opportunity to practice the Buddha's teaching about cultivating merit: "Living honestly, giving alms, acting without blemishes, is the greatest merit".
