At the Congress, the Standing Committee of the Can Tho City Party Committee announced the decision to appoint the Executive Committee of the Commune Party Committee consisting of 33 comrades and the Standing Committee consisting of 11 comrades. Mr. Thach Minh Hoai was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Lam Tan Commune Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term.

Lam Tan commune was established on the basis of merging 3 commune-level administrative units: Lam Kiet, Lam Tan and Tuan Tuc (Thanh Tri district, old Soc Trang province). This is an area with a large population of ethnic minorities, mainly Khmer people.
Over the past term, the Party Committee and people of the commune have promoted the spirit of solidarity, made efforts to overcome difficulties, achieved and exceeded 23/25 targets of the Resolution. Of which, the total rice output reached 153,000 tons; aquaculture area reached 1,186 hectares, output was over 4,960 tons; the value of harvested products per hectare of agricultural land reached 198 million VND. 100% of hamlets have a Community Digital Technology Team; the commune has built over 25 km of model new rural roads.
The locality mobilized more than 35 billion VND to invest in infrastructure development, production, and environmental landscape improvement. Effectively implementing national target programs, the commune has supported the construction of 341 houses for poor, near-poor households and meritorious people with a total cost of over 17.3 billion VND; supported 220 households to participate in cattle, pork, and eel farming models... with a cost of more than 3.2 billion VND. Thanks to that, the poverty rate has decreased sharply from 506 households (7.79%) at the beginning of the term to 107 households (0.02%) today.
