On August 24, Tuyen Quang Provincial Police said that comrade Nguyen Phu Hung - a member of the security and order protection team at the base of Ban Giang village, Thong Nguyen commune - promptly rescued a resident suspected of food poisoning.
Previously, at about 9:05 pm on August 5, 2026, comrade Nguyen Phu Hung received a report that Mr. Trieu Phuc Quang (born in 2005) - a resident and trader in the area - had abnormal health signs.
Mr. Quang was suspected of food poisoning at this time, and even fainted.
Realizing that the victim's condition could be dangerous, comrade Hung immediately coordinated to take Mr. Quang to the Thong Nguyen Commune Health Station for emergency treatment.
According to initial information, before that, Mr. Quang ate mountain snails and honeycomb pupae. After that, this person showed signs of severe poisoning, swollen body, shortness of breath and had to be supported with oxygen.
Realizing that the victim needed intensive treatment, comrade Hung continued to coordinate with medical staff to deploy a referral plan.
The comrade also contacted Mr. Quang's relatives and coordinated to call a specialized ambulance of Bac Quang Regional General Hospital.
The transfer is being carried out urgently to ensure that victims have access to necessary treatment conditions as soon as possible.
Thanks to being detected and supported in time, along with the dedicated treatment of the medical team, Mr. Quang's health gradually stabilized.
After 2 days of treatment, Mr. Quang recovered.
