Commemorating the 71st anniversary of the Traditional Day of State management agencies on religion (August 2, 1955 - August 2, 2026), Tuyen Quang province continues to promote the tradition of the sector, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of beliefs and religions, contributing to consolidating the great national unity bloc, maintaining political stability and social order and safety.
In recent years, the province has synchronously implemented the Law on Belief and Religion and guiding documents for implementation, gradually putting religious and belief activities into order, meeting the legitimate needs of religious and belief activities of the people.
After arranging administrative units, Tuyen Quang has an area of 13,795.6km2, a population of over 1.8 million people, of which ethnic minorities account for about 73%. The whole province currently has 396 community religious establishments; 3 main religions with 90,685 followers, 215 dignitaries, operating according to 8 religious organizations recognized by the State or granted certificates of registration of operation.
Religious activities in the area are basically stable, in accordance with legal regulations and charters of religious organizations. The relationship between the government and organizations, dignitaries, officials, and believers is increasingly close. Religious organizations actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, social security, charity, humanitarian, and gratitude activities.
Along with that, propaganda and dissemination of laws, administrative procedure reform in the field of belief and religion are promoted; the receipt and resolution of administrative procedures are carried out promptly and in accordance with regulations.
Inspection, guidance, and grasp of the situation are maintained regularly, contributing to handling problems arising right from the grassroots level, preventing the formation of complex cases related to religion.
In the context of implementing the two-level local government model, state management of beliefs and religions in the province is still maintained smoothly and effectively. In the coming time, the team of officials working in belief and religion will continue to innovate methods, improve the quality of advice, ensure the freedom of belief and religion of the people according to the provisions of law, contributing to building Tuyên Quang for sustainable development.
