On August 21, Tuyen Quang Provincial Police said that Mr. Nguyen Tran Van (born 1993, residing in Chang village, Viet Lam commune) had a beautiful action when returning 8 million VND to the person who transferred it by mistake.
Previously, on August 15, Mr. Van discovered that his bank account suddenly received 8 million VND.
Not knowing who the transferor was and for what reason the money was transferred, Mr. Van did not use it but proactively went to Viet Lam Commune Police to report it.
He hopes that the police agency will support verification so that the money is returned to the right person.
Immediately after receiving the information, Viet Lam Commune Police urgently verified the incident.
Through this, functional forces identified the money transferor as Mr. Nguyen Van Thiep (born 1983, residing in Kim Bang ward, Ninh Binh province).
Due to negligence, Mr. Thiep mistakenly transferred 8 million VND to Mr. Van's account.
After clearly determining the incident, Mr. Nguyen Tran Van coordinated with Viet Lam Commune Police to fully return the money to Mr. Thiep.
Mr. Van's actions, although simple, show honesty, self-respect and awareness of respecting other people's property.
